LOOKING FOR ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY UPGRADES?
VARIABLE SPEED PUMPS
Choosing a pool pump is a key decision in how effectively your pool will run. With a variable speed pump, YOU control the speed. This allows you to cut down on electricity cost when your pump doesn’t need to run - saving between 50%-80% per year!
While regular pumps typically run at a constant speed 24 hours a day, variable speed pumps run at a more efficient, lower speed and have an auto-off feature.
Fun Fact: Variable speed pumps will be required on all new builds and replacement pumps starting July 2021.
AUTOMATED SYSTEMS
From automated times controlling the pump, real-time alerts when you’re away from home, to water chemistry monitoring and balancing - have instant control of your pool from the palm of your hand.
Pool automation systems offer you an enhanced level of control of your pool, near or far. Automated pool schedule routines allow for a more efficient and cost-effective system, and smart phone integration add-ons enable full control anytime, anywhere.
EQUIPMENT TIMERS
Not ready for a fully automatic system? No problem! Stand-alone pool equipment times are a quick and easy way to add a simple level of automation to any system. They allows you to save power by reducing run time of your pool without changing investing in a new pump or automated system.
OZONE SANITIZERS
Ozone generators, also referred to as ozonators, are the most effective ways to reduce your impact on the environment and save on chemical usage in your pool.
Once installed into the pool’s circulation system, the water passing through is sanitized by the ozone killing all harmful bacteria, then returned to the pool. While ozone is a harmful gas to humans, the ozonator ensures all the ozone is depleted by the time the water returns to the pool.
Ozonators are a fantastic option for homeowners looking to reduce time spent checking chemicals and the amount of chemicals themselves.
COPPER ALGICIDE SYSTEMS
Copper pool ionizers offer a similar sanitation alternative to ozonators but remains non-toxic. Ionizers are also installed to the pool’s circulation system where water passes through to be sanitized. The copper electrodes found inside the ionizer sanitize the water before returning it to your pool.
While a more environmentally-friendly option, ionizers do require some chlorine to fight additional bacteria.
Copper algicide systems allow you to dip your toes into the world of eco-friendly pool living reduced chlorine usage without breaking the bank.
SALT SYSTEMS
The greatest advantage of saltwater systems is the silky smooth water that is softer on your skin, less irritating on your eyes, and less damaging to your clothes. Saltwater systems create easier maintenance by limiting the frequency of checking water chemistry and also reducing the amount of chlorine needed.
